Driver Injured after Bus Overturned on Interstate 95 Near Perryville

The bus crash near Frenchtown Road was reported at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Drivers experienced delays on Interstate 95 north Tuesday afternoon due to a crash before the exit for MD Route 222.

The Maryland Department of Transportation reported that lanes on I-95 northbound and the fast shoulders in both directions were closed at approximately 12:30 p.m. as a result of the single-vehicle collision.

The crash involved an overturned bus on the I-95 overpass near Frenchtown Road, according to the Community Fire Company of Perryville, which reported that one person was injured.

The driver, a man in his forties from New York, was the only occupant of the bus, according to CecilDaily.com, which reported that he was taken to Harford Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The incident was reported at 11:30 a.m. and officials advised motorists of delays through after 2 p.m.
